The backdrop made of ASC1000S - Sceno 1.000 cm muslin painted by Paolino Libralato that reproduces the bas-relief with the cart of Apollo of the tympanum of the Teatro alla Scala, where Nabucco debuted in 1842.The background, that takes inspiration from the skies by Giambattista Tiepolo, uses tones of color that vary from the green, to the white and the red of the Italian flag, a tribute to the spirit of the Risorgimento of the music by Verdi.

On the sides of the ASC1000S - Sceno 1.000 cm backdrop with the bas-relief that was used as the curtain of opening of the opera, they are faithfully reproduced on the stage the proscenium boxes of the Teatro alla Scala, animated by some figurants with nineteenth-century costumes.
Reproducing the epoch and the place of the debut of Nabucco, happened in 1842 in the famous Milanese theater, the stage director and scenographer Thaddeus Strassberger symbolically created an approach of the audience to Giuseppe Verdi in the recurrence of the second century from his birth.
