Teatro San Carlo, ''Gustavo III''

Naples

Philological reconstruction of the first version that Verdi was unable to stage, the opera is set under the direction of Ruggero Cappuccio in Naples in 1858, which the scenography by Nicola Rubertelli evokes with numerous references. The large BGO - Gobelin tulle backdrop which veils the whole proscenium reproduces the Palazzo Reale which is reflected on the wet pavement of Piazza del Plebiscito.
